I'm looking to add a tv tuner card to my new pc. I already have an nvidia 8600gt graphics card, so all I want is a tv tuner. Every card I look at says it needs a sound card, but i use the sound integrated into my motherboard. Is that going to be a problem, or can I plug the tuner into the motherboard audio instead and have it work fine?

no it won't be a problem. you just have to hook up your tv cards' audio output to the Motherboard's intergrated sound using LineIn jack in the motherboard.
