Hi everyone, I have been reading all of the posts and replys on people asking which MB's are the best and which one's overclock well. After reading alot of reviews from searches on google I still find myself coming to the people of these forums for my final decision. I already purchased the Q6600 and got the G0 revision and I have Corsair xms2 1066 memory and the 8800gt vid card. My MB purchase is down to the Abit IP35 the $89 version because I am not interested in XFire or sli or raid as I feel they are really useless for the extra money, or the Gigabyte GA-P35-DSP
rev 2.0 (DDR2 Model). So between those 2 boards which would you recommend! Thanks in advance for you feedback guys and gals.

I would probably go for the Gigabyte. Have you read some reviews on both? Weighed up the good and bad points of each board against each other?

Yeah I have read them and like always its 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that on new they have ALOT of DOA's and boards dying after on having them for a couple of weeks. The Abit has a few listed problems that I dont really believe will bother me, and it seems to hit the higher fsb speeds than the gigabyte. Plus I am coming off of a awd9 board so anything will probably be better since I can only hit 370 fsb prime and orthos stable.

It's a toss up. If your comfortable, go with that. Other than features, most reviews these day seem to be saying all the better mfg boards perform pretty much the same, e.g., ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI,, and ABIT Suggest you checkout their support site, some are easier to get around than other and this can be important. Keep in mind any of these companies could put out a bad batch of boards every now and then
