So if i get Vist I get Dx10 preintsalled on Vista correct? But what if a game, like FEAR requiers me to install DX9.0c just for the game to install. Meaning that it won't procede wit hthe installation until I let it put 9.0c on. Will this f'up my copy of DX10? Or if you have Vista you can download DX10 special from microsoft.com? Can someone enlighten me on this?

It proceed. I installed fear on Vista without any problem...

Vista is DX10, even if a game needs DX9 , it wont change the DX of vista, it will be still DX10, i have installed many DX9 games and no problems(in
DXDIAG, it says DirectX version : 10 )
