Video editing is very CPU intensive, you'd be better off saving on the case and PSU, e.g., something like the Antec Sonata II would work, quiet, decent PSU, and very easy to work with. I'd also get with an ASUS, Gigabyte, or Abit P35 mobo. If you need firewire for a camcorder, you'll likely have to get an SLI board since most mobo with firewire also have SLI. If your not going to significantly overclock, use the retail HSF that comes with the CPU. If you can afford it, go with a quad core like the Q6600, if not at least the E6720. CPU prices should be dropping in the not too distant future with both Intel and AMD coming out with new ones but if you need it now either of the above would workd
