I think I know the reason I can't hit 3GHz it is not becuase of my Power supply but when I tried to auto tune it from AOD my System crashed and went to BIOS and found the CPU temp was at 50c. 2.9GHz at 1.4v failed the Dawn of War test giving me a BSOD when I go into battle so I uped the CPU voltage to 1.4125v and I am wondering how much of my CPU life will die when it reaches 61c. I plan on lapping my CPU some time soon I hope. But I want to know how long will my CPU last at this voltage? I must mention I'm not going to upgrade until AMD comes out with the 45nm CPU's that are out for AM3 socket.
Don't worry about it, as long as you're under 65C, or rather within AMD's specified max temps and max voltage levels, you should expect 3years.
problem with that being that the Phenom is having the same problem as the Penryn 45nm cpu's with the boards reading the proper cpu temp, so if he's running at 50c he could likely be actually running at close to 65c.

yeah also I've noticed with the Asus 790FX WiFi Board AOD reports TMPIN3 as being 104-127c. how can this be and what is TMPIN3 to begin with? System is at 43c case temp is 27c.
