I know there are many threads regarding what I need done. I need to build a new system, My mother will be purchasing the gfx card (8800GTX). My spending limit is around $1300 a lil more or a lil less. I need something that will run COD4 at max settings, I want performance. I'm only looking for 320GB HDD. Not sure to go with quad or c2d.
I want to run Vista 64bit, and I also want 4GB dual channel RAM. Please help me choose the right things. Any help is appreciated.

Definitely get the quadcore instead, also all 88xx series will play COD4 maxed out, well if u have the money, go for the GTX, however 8800GT performs closely to a 8800GTX but it runs more hotter than a GTX, also in very high resolutions like 1920x1200 or 2048x1536 8800GTX performs better than a GT

Q6600
ASUS P5K-E or GIGABYTE P35 DS3R or ABIT IP35 PRO
4GB DDR2 800 RAM with good timings (if u want to OC) like 4-4-4-x or lower
Either 8800GTX or 8800GT
Seagate Barracuda 320GB 16MB
OCZ STEALTHXSTREAM 600WAT PSU or higher
THERMALTAKE ARMOR case or any case with good airflow

Get a Q6600 and OC, (even if u dont OC it, its a very strong performer)

looks solid, if u want SLI , keep that board, if u dont need SLI then get a P35 board like ASUS P5K-E WIFI-AP

also what are the timings of that G.SKILL RAM?
