Hello,
Five months ago I built a fairly decent machine for general use (Multimedia, editing and gaming). Over the past few months I've had some troubles when working with video or just watching video. After a while my computer will just reboot, as if the power supply is shutting down. I don't have trouble when using skype video chat, and when I watch streaming video through Sopcast. Any other video at all will crash it. At the same time, I can run any game pretty much maxed out for as long as I want and will have no problems at all. Any suggestions for fixing this problem? I am currently running XP service pack 2.

Machine's Specs:
Asus M2n Sli-Deluxe
AMD socket AM2 x2 5200+
Nvidia 8800GTS
2Gb of Geil pc 6400 ddr2
A Rosewill 550W PSU, the model escapes me at the moment
2 120mm (1 in, 1 out) fans and 3 80mm fans (2 in, 1 out)

It very well could be your power supply failing. Or it may be that your supply is not capable of producing stable enough power at a higher demand. Typically the problem only gets worse over time.
