Hi
On my previous P5B Deluxe my E6600 was able to do Superpi 1M in 23 second and have 5.4 rating in vista, but on this newly bought Gigabyte X38-DQ6 it only scored 32 seconds and is rated 5.0, does anyone know whats wrong here??? :fou: I thought X38 should performance better than 965.

BIOS is in factory default except C1E and floppy disabled, board version is 1.0, system is Vista Ultimate, other hardwares include WD250G HD, 3GB Kingston DDR2 667(2 x 1G and 2 x 512M), 500W PS, 8800GT, no overclocking.

Thanks!

If you have DDR667 the motherboard is probably setting itself to a memory clock that's not in sync with the E6600's default FSB speed, i.e. base frequency of 266 but memory at 667. Set the memory back to 533 (and take small advantage of the underclock by tightening up the timings a notch if you want).
