I`m having trouble with some games lately: Some recent games, like Medal of Honor 2 or Bioshock, freeze of quit suddenly after some minutes playing. In the case of Bioshock, after it quites, no other game works (even the ones that always ran perfectly) and I have to reboot the machine to try again.
I thought it could be a memory problem, but after notice that it ONLY happens with games (I`ve never had any kind of similar problem with other softwares), I started to consider a videocard overheat or something like that.
Does anyone have any suggestion what to do?
my machine: Pentium IV, 3Ghz, 1GB Ram DDR2, Videocard: Radeon X1600 Pro 256MB

It could be a heat issue. The newer games are probably stressing your whole system alot more than the older ones did. Have you checked your grahics card's temperature after the "freeze" or "quitting of games"?
Searching about the subject, I`ve discovered that most video card doesn`t have a heat sensor. I`ve downloaded the recent driver software from ATI and the ATItool...none of them indicates the temperature of my GPU. So...I guess my video card also doesn`t have a temperature sensor.
How can I know if it is really overheating? Is there any other way?
