Greetings from the UK ^.^

I am a member of OCN, use tomshardware quite a lot for the VGA Charts etc, i have a question that would benifit from input from over overclockers, here it is...

Planning a new build for july, and it'll include the following...

CPU: Q6600 G0 SLACR
GFX: EVGA 8800GT
RAM: 2GB OCZ DDR2 Plat.Rev 2
Cooling: Watercooling setup
Motherboard...

This is the question...

I want a nice motherboard that will OC me quad well, i hear that the P5KC is a good overclocker, yet i hear the DS3L is also a good overclocker, the P5KC has Crossfire [Not very useful] and DDR3 [Maybe in the future] but the DS3L is a good £35 [$60] cheaper.

DS3L -->

Hello and welcome to the forums mate :)

i say go for GIGABYTE P35 DS3L because :
1_The DDR3 option of P5KC is limited to 4GB and the DDR2 option is limited to 8GB so the DDR3 option wont become useful
2_GIGABYTE P35 DS3L OC's better because of its memory controller

however there is another nice alternatvie, and thats ASUS P5K
