Hi guys,

My system is :

AMD 64 Athlon 4000+
8AN Sli Premium Motherboard
2 gig memory
2 x Gainward 512mb special edition 7900 GTX PCX SLI
psu is X-power 700 watt SLi compatable
2 x 200 GB Maxtor HDD

Basically I recently tried playing games in SLi again lately and upgraded my drivers to 163.75. After the drivers were installed on first card, it pauses whil eon the second and i get a screen full of lines and blocks. But on reboot it seems the driver is installed. However when it says my system can operate under sli and click the ballon to take me to the nvidia control panel, there is no option.

So I tried drivers 163.44 but its same.

So then i go back to my normal 93.71 and no problems installing, and selecting sli. Im currently playing WOW and can see an increase in fps however there is one problem that shows on all games, including this. And that is that every 30 seconds or so the cursor will flash intensly and when i move it, there is a ghost image of the cursor where it was still flashing. It all returns to normal after but its really annoying.

Can anyone give me any help as to what might be causing this plz?

Ive tried turning off 'mouse acceleration in games' on mouse panel but its no good.

Sounds like bad driver installation. Remove drivers and use DriverCleaner. Then reinstall. Could also be a damaged card, or not enough juice from your PSU. Although it says 700W, it may not really be up to the task. But check the drivers first. Good luck

Heh, i actually fixed the problem by turning smooth mouse off in the control panel of the game, works fine now, altho th efps seems to have dropped. If i turn off V sync I also get terrible fps. strange. Would still like to know why i cant get sli to work on the latest drivers. but hey im just glad its working now. Will probably run benchmark soon to see if sli really is working.

thanks for reply.

Use driver cleaner pro and get it to clean out all the NVIDIA Graphics drivers.I have a 7950GX2 and I had similar issues.Using DC PRO to get rid of the extra driver files for graphics after uninstalling them,I was able to do a fresh driver install, and ever since, everything has worked excellently. And try using driver version 94.24...I've found this one to be the most stable so far when running SLI.Goodluck.
