Gateway recovery disk

I have no recovery option on my gateway x6820 because when i try, error says my hardrive configuration is wrong. So I paid for recovery disks and got them. Instructions say to insert system disk and press f10. I do. But it goes straight to windows. I look on the disk and find no executable files that I can manually start that will get me to recovery. Gateway wants $99 to tell me how to make these disks work.

Actually your best bet for a few of the gateways is to start pressing the button as soon as you power it on. Also the F2 button should normally move it into the system bios if you can't get the other method to work. *F2 may vary based on the motherboard of the computer, sometimes it will be F1 or Delete key*
