Recovery

This is a correction of previous query. I have no recovery option on my gateway LX6820 running Vista 64bit because when I try, error says my hardrive configuration is wrong. So I paid for recovery disks and got them. Instructions say to insert system disk and press f10. I do.But it goes straight to windows. I look on the disk and find no executable files that I can manually start that will get me to recovery. Gateway wants $99 to tell me how to make these disks work.

Find out what the boot option key is on the laptop, and select the DVD drive with the disk in it. You may see a message "Press any key to boot to CD", press any key.
