Why does my laptop keep disconnecting frommy wirelss router

I have an acer Laptop, which frequently will just disconnect from the internet. We have 2 other laptops in the house, which never do this. They are a different make of computer. My Laptop is on windows vista....could this be the problem? How do I fix this?

Most wireless problems relate to reception strength.

But you might first try downloading the latest Vista driver for the laptop's wireless adapter.

If it's an Intel device you may find a newer driver on Intel's site than on Acer's.

Thank you for you answer, but, like I said the other laptops are not disconnecting, so why when the other laptops are running from the same area, in exactly the same postition or in the same room, they dont keep disconnecting and they never have done?
I will try and do what you suggested above, and I do hope that it works.
