Best motherboard for $200

What is the best LGA 775 motherboard for under $200? I would prefer an Asus or a Gigabyte (I have had good luck with them in the past). NVIDIA chipset preferred, but not required. I plan on using it with a Q6600, and I want a board with serious overclocking potential. No DDR3 boards.

Well I would stay away from the Nvidia 680i chipset boards as they don't work with the newest Intel cpus.
Other than overclocking what do you want the board to do?
Many here have found the P35 chipset boards to be to there liking.
Look at the reviews and forums here and elsewhere to help you in your decision.
I have my Q6600 on an Asus Board, it allows nice overclocking and has features that I wanted.

This is all inside an Antec 900 case with lots of hard drives and dvd burners an hd tv card and video card.
So I would look at what you want to do with the computer and start with a great PSU and build from there.

I would like light games, I want to be able to run at least 2 virtual machines at once, and I would like it for other basic work. I like making computer generated images, and some of my complex ones take twenty minutes in my old computer, so I am looking for an upgrade.

bobbknight: I don't care if it supports Peryn based cpus. Conroe is good enough for me.

Look at P5K-E, GA-P35-DS3R, GA-P35-DS3P, aBit IP35 Pro. The "best" for you depends on the features you need. For example GA-P35-DS3R has 3 PCI slots and costs less, while DS3P has only 2 PCI slots but has FireWire instead and the room for a second video card.

The only reason i suggested the P5N-e32 is becuase it has the Nvidia shipset that OP wanted.

If you dont want SLI i would personally get the Asus P5K (which i own)

I think I will get the ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP. Newegg has it for only $140. Although the option of SLI would be nice, I don't think that its worth the extra $60.
