I have the following configuration:

Asus Striker Extreme

nVidia 8800 gtx

4GB Ram Crucial

Intel Quadcore socket 775

2 hard drives, sata western digital, RAID is on "auto" setting

Vista 64 (with updates so it runs with 4gb ram)

Updated bios to 1305

When I reboot the machine, the bios settings reset to their default values. For example:

Raid disabled
Fan speeds return to default speeds

I've tried changing other options and they reset as well.

The only thing that doesn't change is the boot settings.

Check jumper setting, if it isnt on store it wont retain info

Also, i know this may seem strange but... The striker has CMOS reset buttons onboard, they are massive... is something inside the case ie cables etc. putting pressure on this and reseting without your knowledge.

I thought about the battery, but why would it keep the boot settings the same?
