What causes xp to reboot when I open thumbnails pictures in windows explorer? Can not figure this out.

What causes xp to reboot when I open thumbnails pictures in windows explorer? Can not figure this out.

It's possibly overwhelmed by a large weight of miniature photographs to display? How many files would you be trying to display in thumbnail view? How much RAM or memory does your system have?
