You don't need much else... unless you don't have a good screen

Thermal compound I wouldn't worry about unless you're getting some major parts that put out a lot of heat.

Well, you should also look at the connections your parts use and make sure you have all the cables you need or buy adapters if necessary. I had to buy two SATA cables separately because my optical drives (and they were retail boxed) didn't come with them. Or you may end up needing a molex to PCIe connector or something like that.
