is this a good configuration

Building my first computer.

I will be using either a 24' monitor or a high definition projector (720p)

The one concern I have is the video card is a PCI Express 2.0 card.Does the motherboard support it ? Any other thoughts are always welcome.

It looks good. As far as I know PCI Express 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI Express 1.0

Looks very nice , and also PCI-E 2.0 is backward compatible with PCI-E 1.0 as cfvh600 said, and you wont have any problems using 8800gt on that board

Thank you for your quick responses.
I'm not locked into any of these items(I'm a babe in the woods when it comes to picking this stuff).I just want to kinda future proof my rig for a couple of years.My money tree is dying so I can't be up grading every 6 months unless I really have to.
Is there a motherboard that is 1. a PCI-2.0 board 2. good quality 3. about the same price as the GIGABYTE board. Or is 2.0 all that important?

I guess I should tell you I will be using this computer for FS 2004 and FSX and a possible driving simulator.
