More Information

I recently upgraded my old computer.

My old computer had 2 hard drives [c:] and [g:]. Windows xp was installed on the c: drive. The [c:] is a 160GB Seagate SATA. The [g:] is a 500GB SATA was used for storage.

Before I switched to the new computer I backed up all my files in the [g:] drive.

Now I upgraded the entire computer and keep the two hard drives.

The [c:] works perfectly with windows xp.

The [g:] drive, windows wants to reformat it before I could use it in the new computer. It seems like I lost all the data, but I know its in there.

I have service pack 3 installed, I tried the external sata to usb hookup and the same result.

Please help.
