Hello,
i have had a new hard drive fitted to my samsung v25 laptop and now i cant play cd rom games i am told that i need to update drivers but can play dvd's how do i fix it

It may be a problem with the burning software that you likely have installed. What, if any, burning software are you using? Roxio, Nero etc?

It could also be a defective drive, as there are different lasers for each of type of disc. Let's deal with the software possibilities first as that is less costly.
