Truthfully, I think the score should be much higher. My Q6600 @ 3.15GHz with a heavily OCed 8800GTS 320MB got 13444, highest ever.

Ask a mod to move this thread to the cpu or graphics section. You won't get much feed back here as you will there. On second thought, just post a new thread over there.

I have an E8400 @ 3.4GHz on stock cooler, 2gb of 667 ddr2 at 756 (something around there), and an 8800gt 512mb overclocked to 720/999. I got 12,653 last time I ran 3dmark06. I would think yours would be higher because you have a 600MHz clock cycle increase on that e8400, wayy better ram (i have dell oem memory that holds me back from overclocking the cpu and further), and the 3870x2 is faster than an 8800gt if i'm correct. Make sure you have the latest updates and drivers installed. I'm running vista 32bit. What's your OS?

Do you have the latest drivers for that graphics card? Your configuration should be ahead of me by at least a couple thousand points...

Yours definetly sounds low

Make sure you have 3dmark06 to stock settings, no filtering or AA enabled or something close down as many background apps as possible, switch catalyst sliders to max performance.

Make sure you also have 8.3 drivers.

Guys remember if you have quads you cannot compare score to him as quads greatly influence 3dmark06, hell I was getting 16k+ with a single 8800GT thanks to a quad.

True, however his 4GHz dual core should be achieving better than my score, especially since he has a 3870x2.
