I have a friend that had a motherboard fry.
The motherboard is from a HP Pavillion a810n.
It's a micro-atx with a 754 socket and uses a AMD cpu.
It has the standard items on the back plus a firewire connector.
He would like to get one like it because it has a media card reader
on the front that hooks into the motherboard. But we are having
problems find a micro-atx with that connection which HP calls it
a 1F + 1B. Here's the link to what the motherboard looks like:

Any help on a compatible board would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Newegg has a foxconn sis 755 board with onboard 1394 port, but no video, for around $40 shipped. The model number is K8s-755a. Or pricewatch has 2 foxconn sis 761 boards listed new for under $50 with onboard video but no 1394 port. You may have to splice the case wires, or simply line up the power switch leads only and do without the rest. There is always a chance of getting the exact board on ebay, but the cost is prohibitive; probably over $100 shipped. For the 755 board, you can get a cheap agp 8x card for around $40 or less; either new or open box at newegg.
