Odd power down/reboot problem

About a week or so ago, I noticed that my comp will not shut down. Actually, it does shut down. Then, my LED's, power and HD lights flash 5 times and it reboots all on its own.

My mobo is an Abit A8n-32x with the post code screen onboard, but it goes so fast it's difficult to read.

I've tested my RAM thoroughly - no problems there.
I've used Spinrite to test my HD - no problems there.
I've completely disassembled, cleaned and reassembled the comp - no help.
I've shut off auto reboot - no help.

There's nothing in my event viewer.
I'm fully updated.
Virus check comes back clean as well as multiple adware checks.

Basically, I'm thinking my mobo or my power supply, but I don't have a spare power supply.

I just wanted to see if any of you have seen this before and what the fix was?

Thanks in advance.

Yes that does sound a lot like a power supply issue.I've come across similars problems before and replacing the PSU with a newer and slightly more powerful one seems to fix the problem.Goodluck.

What I have experience with PSU related issues is that the computer will either shut down on its own or will reboot spontaneously.
Sometimes what you are describing can be traced to a faulty power and or reset switch.
Sometimes it can be traced to windows XP not shutting off properly.
It may help if you list you computer specs fully, including your PSU specs.
