Can't Install Vista On My HDD

Forum Windows Vista : Drivers Can't Install Vista On My HDD

I recently put a desktop together and fired it up today. Everything seems to run fine, but when i went to install Vista it says that "this computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disks controller is enabled in the computers BIOS menu."

So then i tried to select a driver hoping it would let me install the OS. There is a driver on my Mobo, but it didnt work and my HDD didnt come with a disk for any drivers. I looked on the Western Digital website to look for some kind of drivers for it, but i have no idea what im looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My HDD is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822136284

and my Mobo is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813157229

Which SATA port are you plugging the HDD into ?? you should be using one of the blue 3GBs slots not the white 6GBs ones if you have the 3GBs Caviar black you linked.
