Which SATA connector should I use for RAID 0 on Gigabyte board?

I'm expecting my two new hard drives to arrive today, so I've been reading up on how to set up a RAID 0 array. It looks like my Gigabyte mobo (P35-DS3R) has two options. There are 3 pairs of orange SATA connectors, which the manual says are controlled by ICH9. Then there is 1 pair of purple connectors, which is controlled by GIGABYTE SATA2. There are different instructions for setting up a RAID array in the bios for each one, but it says that both will support RAID 0. I'm going to guess that the ones controlled by the ICH9 chipset are a better choice. Am I right?
