Hey guys, this is my very first build, and I'm not very hardware savvy. Please keep your responses understandable to a noob. Based on my week long research, I have selected these components. This is a BUDGET build, meant for playing games like CoD4, Oblivion, and Crysis on near high settings smoothly. I'd like to keep the price in the $900's (USA) or lower if possible without sacrificing performnace.

Alright, here we go.

*Note* I selected this processor based on the overclocking capability made clear by the article here. I fully intend to OC it as much as possible while being stable. The article said it could reach 3.2 GHz with stock cooling, but I'm not so sure. Also, is the 1MB cache a big minus as opposed to the 2MB or 4MB cache of the more expensive models?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How do these components look? Are they all compatible? Will I be able to OC the CPU to around 3.0 with these components?

Thanks!

I dont mind the case either. I'm not sure if i would go with that cpu though. If you can, try to bump it up as far as you can. Other than that it looks like a really solid build. To save a lot of cash you can always use... cough.. uhmmm gooogle + torrent + download = saves $200 worth of cash. cough vista ultimate... freeeeeee
