i can't decide. i like flashey cases, like my current X-Dreamer II, and i certainly want it to be big, but i don't want it flimsy and i'd rather not have a door over the 5.25 bays.

so, these are the components to put in it:

Intel q6600
2GB (2x 1GB) of patriot 1066 RAM
8800GT from a manufacturer i haven't picked yet. (XFX most likely)
Gigabyte GA P35 DS4 version 2
Zalman 9700
and a 750w PCP&C silencer
2x 400gb sata
2 optical drives

now, i'm torn between

and

I hate the door of the x-pleasure, but i like the instruments and lights and the size!
I hate the huge 200mm fan and the grilled side panel and no lights, but the antec is just a great case, and really functional.

anyone got some inside news on these cases? bad/good experiences?

I love my 900 case.......not as loud as ppl think and I have it on max all the time for overclocking

And whats so bad about the 200mm fan.......its awesome......all my friends are caught by it :)

The 200mm fan is what the 900 is built around. It's great for ventilation.

Personally I would save myself money and get a CM690 because it's perfectly fine.

Yeah.......the CM690 is a good option......I am overclocking the E2180 so I wanted good cooling and the 900 looks cool

I've run my Q6600 up to 3.6 GHz in my CM690.. Good cooling is all about how you position fans.. and less about the case. Both give good options to position fans.

That being said... The 900 is a perfectly good choice.

Good call..........I want to add another fan to the side panel and new HSF and go a little higher on my clock

i like the 200mm fan idea, i just don't like that (a) there aren't any others to buy to replace it if something goes wrong and (b) it doesn't light up.

lol

but i think i can deal with it.
the antec's cheaper, too.

maybe i'll go with that.

on the Antec site they sell a 200mm replacment if it breaks.....I think its called the Big Boy or something

Fry's has a cooler master mystique rc-332 for $50 with a $50 rebate (free) tomorrow if you can get to one of their stores. It's roomy and has 2 120mm fans with the tooless design. Newegg sells it for $50 after rebate.

I have both the Antec 900 and the CM 690. Honestly the 900 looks cool, cools good, but it loud. The 690 is less expensive and imo just as good. Plus you save a lot of money buying it instead. My vote is for the 690.

It's a great air cooling case. Not enough expanability for water cooling for me. Pretty case though.

Also, I have lots of dust (just look at the desk) The new case was installed 1 day ago and I also put the box in the raise it off the floor to see if less dust makes it way into the computer. Also, this case has 2 fans on the bottom of the case (psu and another) so I thought it would be a bad idea to have them sitting on carpet.

The CM 690 is your best choice for $70 ($30 after rebate).
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811119137

Add a good PSU like a Corsair to it for $100 (85 after rebate) and you're good to go

As for Apevia ... the design doesn't work for me, I hate doors and the PSU is of questionable quality (enough said I think).
