My hd is divided in two c: and D:data will recovery affect d:data

Hello,acer laptp win vista home sp2. my hd is divided in two C:acer and D:data,if i run recovery from disc will if affect the d:data part . i want to save some files on d that i dont want to lose,thanks

Best way to do this is to buy a backup drive and save your files there before you do this. Which you should have anyway. Some recovery systems will wipe the full disk then re-install, some will only do one partition then re-install. The recovery instructions should tell you what will happen.
