Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L won't go past start up screen HELP??

I'm really not sure if the PC is crashing or if one of the USB ports on the MOBO might be dead but for whatever reason I can get my PC to boot to the startup screen but can't do anything once I'm there

Anybody else have this problem and how did you fix it

List your specs. Elaborate on the symptom. What do you see when you power on the pc?

HDD failure(not present or damaged) or a printer with card reader locking at POST...
