None of the above.
If you want the best and fastest, get the WD velociraptor.

Second choice is the raptor150.

Otherwise, among the 4 you listed, they will all be in the same performance class.

i should have said the best under $70 dollars or less but those velociraptors are fast but to expensive for me

More information is needed. Environment? Usage pattern? Budget, if applicable? My answer would likely be different for a home PC vs. a corporate datacenter.
Other than unforseen replacements, I'm hoping the next drive I buy is a reasonably-priced SSD that is at least 64GB.

In that case, I'd probably opt for WD; the newest (AAKS vs. AAJS) and biggest (320 vs. 250) I could afford.

I personally own the WD 640GB AAKS drive and it works very well.

I run my OS on a SSD, and have 2 other 10,000 RPM drives (Raptors, not the new Velociraptors).

Unless you go for 10,000 RPM drives or a SSD, all the 7200 RPM drives give simmilar preformance.

I have had a Raptor 74 for 5 years and never had a problem with it. And no, its not really that loud, unless you screw it directly to the metal HDD cage without grommets...

Those HDD screws that have the rubber o-rings were an awesome invention.

All the drives that you've listed are pretty similar in performance.

I personally like Western Digital more than Seagate (had less issues with WD than Seagate over many years), but this is my opinion.

If you are truly looking for performance, Velociraptors, Raptors and SSDs seems to be the way to go. But everything comes with a price.

Another option would be to get two good medium-small drives SATA2 and use RAID-0. The performance versus a single drive is significantly faster in most cases and it met my needs. However, I'm not sure how the price of two "basic" drives would stand versus a single Velociraptor/Raptor. I have had RAID-0 for many years with no issues, but I'm aware of the increased risk versus the single drive approach. That's why I always have a reliable backup solution.

Now I added a third drive to the system and changed from RAID-0 to RAID-5 (something that you can do in the future, if you are concerned as I am with your data). But even with RAID-5 I still have my backup system up and running.
