Hello!
I´m planning to buy a new G card : radeon HD3870(pci-e 2.0) the problem that my mother board(msi 945p neo3) has a pci-e 1.0 slot. so will the card work ? if ya, will it run on full data transfare rate?

It should be fine. PCI-E 2.0 cards work on PCI-E 1.0 boards, and PCI-E 1.0 has plenty of bandwidth for every card out there so far.

What kind of power supply do you have? You need to check that it's powerful enough.

I was about to ask the same! :)

I have an A8N-E with PCI-E 1.0 and want to add a 8800gt 2.0, is aevm, the same for every card in the market? or your comment was just for the HD3870?

I have an Antec TPII 480w, i hope is enough!

Edit: Sorry about this, i saw the answer in a different post. (i should write 1000 times, "read before ask" )
