Need to reinstall XP. F8 takes me to boot sequence. Problem is on restart keyboard appeears to have no power until after passing F8 option. The 2 times I have been able to get to the boot menu I am unable to change it due to keyboard not being powered/recognized. On my other computers when initial boot happens the keyboard and mouse are powered/recognized immediatley. With this one it does notr happen until end of boot, if that makes sense.
Any suggestions? Is this normal on some MB's? Is there another way to change the Boot sequence. One note, the keyboards I've attempted tu use are USB's connections......does that matter?

As always the help is apprreciated. Thanks

Greg

Are USB keyboard in bios enable? Are legacy USB enabled in bios?

Go into BIOS and enable USB Legacy Support. At worst, you may have to use a PS/2 keyboard.

agreed.

Also:
Change the boot sequence permenantly in the bios, not temporarily with F8...
Then change it back when your done.
