i have two sata drives 1. wd caviar 320 gb 2. wd raptor 150gb; both of these drives have windows xp installed on them. i was wondering how i can switch which hd the computer boots from when i turn it on.

You should be able to do it in BIOS depending on your mobo. Try posting the model of the mobo.

I haven't dealt with that mobo. In BIOS go to Boot -> Boot Device priority, Highlight Hard disk and hit enter. That may allow you to select the bootable HD.

For my Maximus Formula, i hit F8 on the maximus screen, and it brings up a boot menu and i can choose what drive to boot with. try that, it might be quicker.

I didn't see that in the manual. If the option is available it should come up on the splash screen.
