I've got a Linksys wireless access point/router which has been working well with my WinXP laptop's wireless card. However, I'm adding Linux to an old computer, which will be located in the same room. The linux box won't have a wireless adapter, so I was hoping that I could use the laptop's currently unoccupied Ethernet card and XP's "network bridge" feature in order to get the Linux box online.

I not sure if this is even possible, or how I'd go about setting it up if it is... would I need to enable ICS on the laptop, or would I not want that one (the Knowledge base article about this is really vague).

Anyway, all help would be appreciated.

once you have both connections on the XP machine visible in Network Connections, just click the wireless to highlight it, hold down Ctrl and click the Local area connection, right click on either one and choose bridge.

That should be all you need to do.
