I know people search this forum minute after minute and I try and do the research myself that is why I hate to ask this question..
but............
what is a great motherboard these days? About 6 months ago I put together specs that had to do with the EVGA 680i NF68-A1 Mobo, but it seems that has been discontinued. I am building a system within two weeks and I want a good one, now I am looking and looking. Basically what is better, something based on intel's p35 or nvidia's 680i....SLI would be nice, but its not completely necessary.... right now I am loooking at the DFI LP UT P35 T2R, mostly because there is no onboard audio to lag the CPU/RAM
Im really not sure because I dont want to go high end, and that pushes the budget.....but I would much rather get something that lasts a CPU/Video upgrade, I see the MB as the frame of the car you can replace the engine and just about anything else but the board IMO
