Power connector SATA 2.5 and 3.5

I want to put a 2.5 inch SATA drive into my desktop. Can I still use the SATA power cable that comes with the power supply? Do both the 2.5 and 3.5 inch versions of SATA drives use the same physical power connector and voltage?

Yes, SATA connectors for 3.5" and 2.5" drives are identical. You will need brackets to properly mount the 2.5" drive in a 3.5" bay.

They're identical, although the 2.5 doesn't use the +12V wire at all.
