I've seen reviews at CNET, but not anything here at Google. I just
want to warn people about the problems with this TV.

There are a couple of 4's and 5's that you should read if you're
planning to buy this TV.

Good luck!

One minor problem with the report, the consumer noted never gets the Hitachi
Symptom resolved other than just giving up and switching to a completely
different product. Also no where in the comment does he mention having the
item checked out by any professional service facilities. Opionions backed up
by definitive cures and support tend to be a bit more effective and
believable than just blowing off steam, as we all tend to do.

Curiously, I see nothing in the Hitachi service web site about this problem.
The screen business sounds fishy. This is not unfamiliar nor unrefined
technology. I'd like to hear what Hitachi tech reps have to say about it.
Sounds more like debris on a mirror or some assembly problem to me.
