Hello,

from what I understand, using Intel Matrix Storage, you can create mixed raid arrays on a set of physical disks. For example, on two 1TB disks, you could create a 400Gb RAID0 array, 200GB RAID1 array, and 1200Gb JBOD disk.

But the problem is, what if one of those disks already has a live system on which matrix storage manager is run. How to create those volumes then?

thanks for any suggestions.

based on my experience. when you are migrating... Primary Disk will remain intact and can migrate to RAID 1 or 0 only. the secondary disk will completely be erased. You cant have both arrays when migrating... maybe i'm wrong... but I wasnt allowed by matrix do have both.
