Hey guys im trying to overclock my 6400 using core center application and the maximum i can achieve is 2560 mhz before the system because unstable and crashes. Ive seen people overlock it to 3 + but no luck for me. Do you guys have any recomendations? Btw my cpu temp stays at a fairly stable 39 C.

i dont know what a core center application is but my e6400 is oced to 3.2 and its pretty stable. You need a good Mobo, ram and a cooler. I was able to hit 2.6 with a generic ram. My CPU idles at 35~40 at 3.2. I am using a zalman 9700. Maybe you should use the bios to overclock.
