Which one would be best for playing games like Call of Duty, ProStreet, NBA etc.? The 8500GT will be in an Intel Q6600, 2GB 800mhz RAM and the X1950 Pro would be in an AMD X2 5600+ and 2GB 667Mhz RAM. Which would be best for games?

the 2nd one, the video card is the most important component for gaming

The 1950Pro is a good card the 8500gt not so good and would bottleneck the Q6600 in gaming.
the second system by far because of the GPU.

Why's the AMD system have the slower memory, isn't AMD performance more closely linked to memory speed? Is there a chance you can get the x1950pro in the Q6600 system?

why are you getting slower memory, for 2GBs nowadays the difference is about $10, get the X1950Pro and Athlon if you can't afford the quad with 800Mhz Ram

OR you could get a lesser CPU and a HD3850 if you can find one for a decent price, which would be a FAR better option than any of the above. But to get you on track on the kind of performance you can expect from the 8500GT, I believe it couldn't even run properly Doom 3 at decent settings on 1024x768.
