Salutations.

I have been browsing the web, running searches and looking at mobo manufacturers websites and I have not yet found a mobo that fits my requirements.

I currently have a dual core E6600 CPU and an 8800GTX. I have managed to score an additional 8800GTX at no cost and I want to utilise it in SLi. I am willing to spend top dollar on a new mobo that is future proofed to the point where it has the following:

nVidia 680i Chipet
Supports the E6600 but is able to use the 42nm Penran when it is realeased by Intel (I know ABIT have released one that does both).
Supports DDR2 and DDR3.
Has 2x PCI 16 (680i by default usually)
Has 1x PCI 8 (680i by default usually)
Has a PCIx slot for my soundcard.

If anyone knows a board please post and let me know. Cheers.

good luck...

680i doesnt support DDR3 PERIOD
680i also currently doesnt work well if at all with new penryn CPU's
Your not wanting PCI-x for your soundcard are you? just PCI?

Seems your best bet would be to wait for Nvidia's new 7xx series chipsets (early next year?) but they may still not support Penryn fully
