I was wondering what DDR2 RAM you guys would like to OC a Q6600 with?
I was hoping for 8G of RAM but will settle for 4G if it means better performance with the Q6600.
I was hoping for a OC between 3.0Ghz and 3.6Ghz

I'll be using a P5E WS board and the 120 Extreme HS.

I'll be using the rig for HDV editing and photoshop.

So what will it be, DDR2 800 or DDR2 1066?
What timings do you like?
Thanks!

a 4gb of memory if you are using 64bit windows.a typical ddr2-800mhz is what you normally need.

Like the above poster said, 4GB is recommended for 64-bit Vista, perhaps even 8GB if you can afford it.

DDR2 800 works fine, you won't see much performance difference from DDR2 1066, if any. DDR2 800 is perfectly safe until 1600MHz fsb, or 3.6GHz on the Q6600. Naturally, the lower the timings the better, and these days nearly all DDR2 ram are good enough.

Then again, you can go for more speed, like me, high fsb, x 8 multi and 900 mhz on the ram or better! So get some decent stuff.

This stuff looks great! I may end up with it as well, I will let ya know in a day or so! I need 950 @ 4-4-4-12 if I can get it!
