Here is my situation, I currently have enough money for a 24" lcd monitor. Should I get it now, or wait a couple of months for a miraculous price drop since 22" are dropping fast. Thank you for your time.

I just ordered a 24" Samsung 245BW.
For gaming this is the best. I bought it for $330 on Black Friday but MSRP is $500. an alternative is the 24" WestingHouse for $330 after rebates on Newegg.

For graphic/visual/movies try the an HP 24". They are $500 +.

and based on what i have heard/read LCD prices are on the rise and not falling.

there is no such thing as the best LCD guys, when it comes to TFT technology...it's a act. They all haves strengths and weaknesses. When it comes to LCD's...You really need to learn the technology for the strengths and weaknesses in order to purchase on that suits your strengths. Just head on over to the hardforum. The display section is extremely active there. You can learn everything you need to know, as well as find your self surrounded by tons of people who have used all these monitors you're looking at. Some dedicated threads to a certain model lcd go over 150 pages...It's a great, and the only place, you can trust for LCD discussion/reviews.
