antec 900 and p180b both on sale for $70.00 (after rebate)


Am leaning toward these items for build

asus p5k deluxe
pc power and cooling 750
crucial ballistick tracer ddr2 1066(pc8500)
w/D 7500aaks
thermalright 120
q6600

step up till jan 3 waiting for best card at that time 8800 series?

xp, vista ?

everything else as sales come

Will these fit and any heat issues. p180 ??

The more I read the more I change my mind. Don't mind shifting as good deals appear. Must step up by jan 3rd. As I start buying my decisions will be narrower. Opinions welcome

if you plan on overclocking get the 900.....if not the 180b is much quieter

Both are good but I would go with the 900, at $50 after the promo code you can't beat it.

Don't get the Ballistix stuff. 1066 really isn't worth it. I would get 4Gb of 800.

Vista 64-bit all the way (what can I say, I like my registers to handle twice as much )

No heat issues from what I can tell.

Also, I'd skimp out on that much of a power supply. 750 is overkill, unless you plan on SLI'ing later on, but even then, a 650 should be plenty for that.

I agree with Mr. Kenobi that unless you plan on SLI the 750 is overkill, you can get the Silencer 650 for about $120 and it would be plenty powerful enough.

That promo code shows dead for me. I'm leaning toward the p180b for the noise factor as long as everything fits with no problems. Heat was a concern if I try o/clocking.

And Jedimasterben and AUsch30,
I've just read so much about weak power supply's figured a little overkill is better, but if a smaller one will work, cool. I have a seasonic now with no problems since 03. Would stay with them or maybe corsair 620hx which is made by seasonic.Or the pcp&c silencer 610? hmm if all of these are fine then price will win at order time.

I'm totally lost on mem. That one seemed to stick from somewhere in my reading. Figured I'd ask what to get just before ordering . Thought that one o/clocked well with the p5k card.
