Hello, First off I would like to thank everyone that has came to my thread.

I am going to build an high end gaming pc. I've heard rumors that new technology is coming out like new nvidia chipset(780i) and graphic card(new GTX thats better than ULTRA), and how on a new AMD board you can put 4 ATI graphic cards in CrossfireX mode; If someone could give me more detials about new tech thats coming out in December, January that would be awsome. I am looking for a system that brings the most out of my games; I will be playing Battlefield 2, Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars and Generals, Counter Strike Sourse, Wolfenstine Enemey Territory, Call of Duty 4, and others. Also any game for the future to bring. I want fast, durable, long lasting, the best I can get. BTW I hate Windows VISTA.

PLEASE TELL ME IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO, CHANGE TO MAKE MY PC BE BETTER. ANY COMPONENTS THAT WILL MAKE MY GAMING EXPERIENCE BETTER.

If I get SLI mobo I cant run DDR3, so what do you think I should do now?

So your saying overkill is a bad thing? Like overkill is too much power?
How is too much power bad? ....

I agree somewhat but to be honest IMO no system with the games we have coming out is overkill anymore.... But I do agree take out the Ultra go for

2-EVGA 8800GTX OC

I agree also SLI will show more performance gain in gaming then DDR3. As far as i know and i will repeat I KNOW there is not a motherboard out there that will allow for SLI and 2 PCI slots open. Most of the 680i will have 1 PCI slot open and i would 100% put the X-FI in there. That is what I have in my system and I LOVE IT. Sound never sounded so good. I purchased one of the BF Nic awhile back and it was a waste sent it back. Latency dropped by a few MS that is it, Nothing at all impressive and nothing at all worth enough to sacrifice good sound over. I would go for the Asus Striker Extreme for the MB its one of the best 680i MB out there and get rid of the Nic and if you have the money left go for 24" Dell 2407 plz don't waste a system like that on a 19" lol.... Now you could always go for the just the Evga 680i motherboard and save the money now and upgrade once the new 780i series comes out that is up to you.. That is all IMO.... Hope that helps some

EDIT: Also don't get Windows XP PRO x64 just go for Windows XP Pro x32.... 64bit OS is a waste unless you have 4gig+ memory there is not enough software out to really take advantage out of it just save yourself some hassle.
