So I was browsing all sorts of forums and decided I wants me one of these. It seems awesome, and can be OCed like a mofo. Newegg, sold out. TigerDirect, sold out. Ebay, sketchy. Other etailers... couldn't find one. Let alone under 3 big ones.

Found it. In stock. $296 shipped. Sweeeeettttt!!!!!!!!!!
I got their last one! I'm excited. It's no longer 'addable' to your cart.

Although, I'd like to ask while I'm here, with my current system I only got a 5275 score in 3dMark06.
-AMD athlon 64 6000+ OCed to 3.2
-2 GB PC6400, dual channel, 5-5-5-15, (2x1024)
-EVGA 8600GTS
-550 watt modular PS from Ultra
Does this score seem in line for this system? On 3dMark03 I got like 17000 lol. Though I'm sure the standards are touger nowadays.

3DM06 is calibrated differently. Your score is a bit low but it's probably the GTS. If I remember, my 7900GS scored maybe 6000... so you should be within range, but Specify your PSU's +12v rail combined rating.

That should power the GT. But as I said before, look for a "combined" +12volt rail rating (which isn't labeled there) to be absolute. All PSUs differ in efficiency, therefore, 17a and 18a could combine for 24a on one PSU and 26a on another.

Well the PSU I have does advertise as "SLI ready" so that gives the impression it'll do the job. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll have to do a little research on it. Oh the learning... it never ends.

I just checked it and it's in stock and $286 now, you should have waited. Nice find, a lot of people have been looking for those and yes your PSU should be fine.

I wouldn't sign up for that Dell crap if my life depended on it. Last thing I want to do is get involved with those douches lol. But props on the find for sure. Not to mention, I really wanted the EVGA card. It might be the exact same thing, but I like EVGA and have good experience. AND your warranty is not void by removing the heatsink and putting on after-market cooling.

too bad dell doesnt tell that there are tax charges on your order. I was about to order until they showed me a 25 dollar tax charge on the last checkout page.

the $209 8800gt deal expired already

who cares if its through dell...xfx is a good company, although I can't complain since my 8800gt was free :) You should do the bios soft-mod to get a higher oc.
