ASRock makes some AGP/PCI-E(4x) combo boards.

ASRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 LGA 775 VIA PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

There was an article from back in february that used a similar(AMD) board.

It would be worthy to note that the performance of Nividia cards apeared to be hindered on the ASRock board used.

look for p5pe-vm asus

this is a ddr1/agp board that I believe supports core2duo procs

Why would you waste the money on AGP??

The OP is looking for a motherboard that supports both AGP and PCIe. Chances are good he already has a AGP card that he would like to use on a new build. These boards are great for those who want to upgrade their computers in steps.

The ASRock boards may not be perfect. But should my AGP mobo or cpu die tomorrow, I'd buy one in a heart beat.

Ahhh...the way I read it, I thought he was looking for a dual AGP setup, lol, like for AGP SLI...hardy har har.

The 4x PCI-E Slot, however, will limit him if he upgrades to a decent gaming PCI-E card.

Selling the current system and putting that to a brand new system will likely work best.

Actually I was running the 939 Dual SATA mbd for ~18 months and had no problems with it. My old Barton was getting a bit dated for gaming but the X800AIW was still a good card (and a xmas present from the folks) so I looked for a 939/AGP/PCI-E board. The only reason I'm not using that build anymore is that the water pipes burst and my room flooded into my desk's corner area.

At the time AsRock was owned by Asus, don't know if that's still the case. Their boards are solid in my experience, not too great for overclocking but very flexible when making the jump to "current gen" systems.
