Hi,
I recently bought my computer and I want to OC it as much as possible.
This is what I've got:
CD/DVD: Samsung SH-S203P
Case: Antec P182
PSU: Corsair VX 450W
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F1 HD753LJ 32MB
CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Memory: Crucial BallistiX PC6400 4GB CL4
Motherboard: Asus P5E X38 S775 DDR2
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4
I've read the C2Q/C2D OC sticky and managed to OC it to 3560MHz (445x8). I increased the vCore to 1,35V and mem voltage to 2,2V. I set the timings to 5-5-5-15. It runs stable with PRIME95 torture test for about 3hrs. When I set the FSB to 450 PRIME95 will fail within 10min. My temps are ok I guess. They're: (taken with HW Monitor)
Core0: 43 idle/56 load
Core1: 42 idle/54 load
I haven't increased the northbridge voltage yet... mostly because I don't know what the safe voltages are.
Do you think that I can get much higher with my cpu? I've seen plenty other OCs go ~4GHz.
edit: oh and my ram is at 1:1 atm... so running at 890MHz. A strange thing is that it seems that I can only overclock the ram more as there aren't a bios setting that allowed me to underclock my ram.
