First off, this deals with an AMD64 3200+ and an ASUS K8N-E Deluxe motherboard.

I recently got a new case and psu and decided to put my old parts in it, I put everything together and it booted up and installed WinXP without a problem. Then I downloaded the drivers from http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us (I chose the 5th file down.) Now I can only get to the Windows screen with the green status bar and after it scrolls through a few times it locks up. I can't boot in safe mode either. Should I reformat and try to hunt down older drivers, or am I not using the right ones?

Hi Crazymage,
I don't know your setup but, you probably don't need those Silicon Image drivers unless you need more than the 2 SATA that are provided by nForce3.
I would just use the nForce3 drivers from nVidia.com (as has been mentioned :^)
If you want to run a RAID array - harddisks are inexpensive! - the Sil 3114 will still be there. But best not to fire it up until you will use it...
